Field Trips to Shanghai Maritime Museum and Shaoyang Shan Habor

Students of Xiwai Bilingual had the opportunity to visit the Shanghai Maritime Museum in May. The students had a great time exploring the museum. The largest and most prestigious maritime museum in the country, this museum displays a cultural relics collection and encourages academic research, social education, and the popularization of science and education. Based on the theme of "navigation," it is composed of six exhibition halls, two special exhibition zones, two science movie theatres, and a children's amusement center. All the exhibits were explained in English and Chinese, so the foreign teachers of Xiwai were able to learn about China's rich maritime history. 

Students then went to the harbor. They walked over the  Shaoyang Shan harbor with its breathtaking views of the river below. Students had a great time taking photos and enjoying the outdoors.
