A Lecture about Learning to Release Stress Correctly and English Teacher Dubbing Competition

2021-06-21

For Xiwai high school students, the planning of applying to a world-renowned university has already begun before enrollment. After entering high school, various academic and standardized tests followed one after another. Besides, fields trips, inquiry-based courses, and many school activities have been keeping our students very busy as well. Therefore, it is very important for students to adjust themselves correctly to maintain a positive attitude and learn to release stress correctly.

Fortunately, on the afternoon of May 28, our tenth grade students listened to a lecture on stress. Ms. Teng, a police officer, gave a questionnaire to 40 students in our grade 10 to ascertain the various pressures the students are currently facing. During the speech, Ms. Teng, deeply analyzed the pressures that boys and girls are most concerned about. Since most of the students' pressure comes from their study, Ms. Teng uses the SOFT law, as well as her own study experience, to tell students how to help relieve the pressure of study. Many students were moved deeply by Ms. Teng's interesting explanation and close interaction.

In May, English teachers from all departments gathered together in the report room to attend English dubbing competition. As for international high school English teachers, we finally selected a segment from the well-known Disney movie "Frozen".

All English teachers worked together and made careful preparation just in order to show the best effect. In the final appearance, the teachers achieved amazing stage effect with their full spirit, standard and authentic oral pronunciation, and vivid live performance. The competition was not only about teacher's basic, but about teachers’ teamwork and enthusiasm for making English learning funnier.
