      Xiwai International Middle School is a bilingual program designed to provide a complete education to expatriate students, and to prepare ESL students to be competitive in higher education in English speaking countries.  Our program provides a challenge to all students, as it requires all participants to be able to attend lecture, participate in activities and complete coursework in both English and Chinese.

       Our middle school program does more than just expose students to two different languages.  Because our expatriate teachers are as equally involved in classroom affairs and student management as our local Chinese teachers, students get the opportunity to build relationships with teachers from all over the English speaking world, and become accustomed to the cultural norms and classroom culture of the West.

     We aim to produce students who excel in both Chinese and Western academics, who have a natural understanding of what it means to be global citizens, who can evaluate current events based on a multinational and multicultural paradigm, and who are on the road to understanding who they are as people.
