勿忘国耻，
砥砺前行！
The south is a marvelous place
where the emperors lived.
江南佳丽地，
金陵帝王州。
Nanjing is the best place to learn about history of humanities. The city was the capital of 6 dynasties, besides the Yangtze river. The Qinhuai river just acrosses the city. The metropolis is filled with many Chinese histories. The past is past, and my heart misses it. Nanjing, the famous and historical city, is waiting for students in Xiwai to uncover its veil.
14th of December 2017, Xiwai international division went to Nanjing, started to look for the foorprint of history.
Our first station is Sun Yat-sen mausoleum. Here buried the great Chinese revolutioner, Sun Yat-sen. The admirers looked up his image. When students were passing the stairs, the past history emerged in their minds. It was him, who broke the chains of Chinese monarchy which lasted for more than 2000 years; it was him, who spoked the slogan "Drive the invader".
We searched for the footprint of history, not only remembering the history, what matters more is moving forward.
100 years ago, the Japanese invaders made extremely brutal massacre in Nanjing, countless lives were massarcred. It's a history that we don't want to remember, but must remember. In order to commemorate these innocent souls, to remember this history, the Japanese Massacre Memorial Hall was built in Nanjing.
The memorial has grey and dark light, just like a ghost city. 70 years later, it seems that we can feel the air filled with bloody smell, we can hear the shrill cry of innocent people, we can still see people waving powerless hands in a pool of blood, buried in a cold tomb.
There are many pictures in the hall, which record the most real scenes. Students looked at them carefully. If you walk close, you can hear them thinking, refelcting and critisizing.
After visiting, international high school division students gathered outside of the hall, to grieve the victims. Gu Ao from G12 felt shocked and delivered a speech about his feeling and his opinion on the history. He reminded students: Never forget the national humiliation, Move on forward bravely! " Come on, Chinese teenagers!"
Students and teachers in international high school division were so touched by trip to the Massacre victim hall in Nanjing. On Friday, during the class meeting, students gathered again to discuss about the trip to Nanjing. "History is the teacher of the future". How can we remember history? How can we avoid that history happening again?
Peace doesn't com early, and it's more difficult to hold the peace. The purpose of this trip to Nanjing is to make students to know the significance of revive our country, to aware of the humiliating history. It all remind us: we will be beaten if we fall behind.
Liang Qichao once said: If the teenagers are strong, the nation will be strong. The book of history is still rolling. The calling of Chinese renaissance is still hanging in the country. This voice could should warm every heart. Every teenager, no matter where you go, you should love your country and make it stronger, and cherish the hard-won peace
Come on! Teenagers!

要学习了解人文历史，南京定是首选之地。六朝古都，扬子江畔，秦淮河穿城而过，这座繁华的大都市承载着许多中国的历史。往事悠悠，我心切切！南京这座历史文化名城，等着西外学子去揭开神秘的面纱。
2017年12月14日，西外高中国际课程部踏上南京这片土地，开始探寻历史的足迹。
我们的第一站是中山陵。
青山绿树间，中国近代伟大的革命先行者孙中山先生长眠于此。瞻仰着先人的雄姿，学生拾级而上，百年前的往事一幕幕划过脑海。是他啊，带领当时的中国人解开了禁锢中国两千多年的专制皇权的枷锁，是他啊，高喊着“驱除鞑虏，恢复中华”的口号，为了民族而斗争。
我们探寻历史的足迹，不仅仅是为了铭记历史、缅怀先烈，更重要的是为了以史为鉴，砥砺前行。
100年前，侵华日军在南京制造了一起惨绝人寰的大屠杀，无数鲜活的生命惨遭毒手。这是一段我们不愿记起却又必须记住的历史。为了纪念这些无辜的亡魂，为了铭记这段历史，侵华日军南京大屠杀遇难同胞纪念馆在此建成。
纪念馆光线阴沉昏暗，黑黝黝的如入鬼域。70年后，我们仿佛还能嗅到空气中弥漫着屠杀的血腥之气，还能听到无辜的人们凄厉的哭泣，还能看到手无寸铁的人们挥着无力的双手倒在血泊之中，倒在一个一个埋葬他们的冰冷的土坑之中！
纪念馆有很多图片，记录着当时的最真实一幕幕。学生们看得很仔细，很仔细。如果你靠近一点，你会听到他们在感慨、在反思、在批判，也在谴责。
参观完后，高中部的同学集中在纪念馆外，为遇难同胞默哀。高三的顾傲同学在这次参观中受到了很大的触动，发表了一段的演讲，谈了对那段历史的看法，也谈了自己的感受。他提醒学生：勿忘国耻，砥砺前行！“壮哉，我中华少年！”
这一次的南京大都杀遇难同胞纪念馆之行给高中国际课程部的师生们以极大的触动。周五班会课，高中学生又聚集在一起谈论这次南京之行。“前事不忘，后事之师。”我们如何记住历史？我们怎么才能让历史不再重演？和平来之不易，为何当今世界战争不断，恐怖分子依旧猖狂？怎样看待日本首相参拜靖国神社问题？我们应该原谅日本吗？.....很开心看到我们的学生如此激烈的讨论着国家之事！
和平来之不易，坚守更不易。南京爱国主义教育之行的目的，就是要让学生明白国家强大的意义，明白我们不能忘记那段屈辱的历史。圆明园遗址和遇难同胞纪念馆，无时无刻不在警示着我们：落后就要被挨打。
梁启超曾说过：少年强，则国强；少年富，则国富。历史的书面仍在不倦地翻动，复兴中华民族的历史呼吁在古老版图上回荡不息，那雄浑的声音使每颗灼热的心为之震撼。我们每一个少年，无论以后去向世界何方，都应该热爱自己的祖国，强大自己的祖国，珍惜这来之不易的和平。
