上新了,西外——高中国际课程部苏州研学

江南是文人墨客的朝圣之地,是孕育中华文化的钟灵毓秀之所。要想更好地融入文化之境,体验传统文化的魅力,“上有天堂,下有苏杭”,苏州是不二之选。继双语预初年级学生的苏州研学初体验后,高中国际课程部的学子们在梁老师等的带领下前往姑苏,趁着金秋,开启了一场文化探险之旅。上新了,西外!

 

Jiangnan is a pilgrimage site for many eminent men of letters. It is the place where the flowers of traditional Chinese culture took root and blossomed. There is an old saying that “Up above there is heaven; down below there are Suzhou and Hangzhou.” For those seeking to better understand and immerse themselves in traditional culture, Suzhou is the ideal destination. Following up on the recent trip by Grade 6 students to Suzhou, the students of the International High School went on their own research expedition to the land of Gusu, embarking upon a cultural adventure in the golden autumn.

 

In Suzhou, students were excited to participate in the project “Meeting the Past and Present of Jiangnan Culture”, which was designed by our school. The purpose of the project is to enable students to understand traditional culture, cultivate cultural self-awareness and cultural self-confidence, and enhance students' cultural identity. Under this topic, there are four sub-topics: the Garden, the Kunqu Opera, Cultural Content Creation, and Photography. The subjects seamlessly fuse Chinese and western culture; audio-visuals and art; elegance and practical design. The students were expected and encouraged to get closer to Chinese culture in its different dimensions, exploring the charms of traditional culture from the perspective of modernity and practicality.

 

这次苏州研学,高中学生要参加我校设计的“走进苏州,遇见江南文化的前世今生”课题。课题旨在让学生了解传统文化,培养文化自觉和文化自信,提升学生文化认同感。这一课题下设园林、昆曲、文创和摄影四个子课题,课题在中西文化、视听艺术结合、高雅文化与实用设计三个方面,都尝试做了融合碰撞,期待学生能够从不同的维度走近、亲近中国传统文化,并从现代和实用性的角度,发掘传统文化新魅力。

 

我们的课题主要分为以下四个:

(1)当苏州园林遇上“歪果仁”

(2)赏心乐事——昆曲欣赏与体验

(3)网红文创是如何诞生的

(4)我行我摄——有界的相框,无界的想象

 

苏州课题行程安排

 

这次摘取其中两个最受欢迎的课题介绍一下。

 

Part 1 :苏博文创

苏州博物馆是江苏省文创开发最成功的博物馆,秘色瓷莲花碗曲奇被誉为“舌尖上的国宝”,写字的墨水可以呈现出瓷器的釉色,唐伯虎萌萌的姿态被用来制作袋泡茶,还有一种植物种子,深受外国学者称赞,这些网红文创拉近了传统文化和普通大众之间的距离,让博物馆不再高高在上,而是在生活中就触手可及。那么,这些文物是如何从高冷的展台走入寻常百姓家的呢?

 

这次去苏州,高中国际课程部的学生便从苏博里寻找灵感,设计文创品,将文物从高阁上拉下来。出国学设计一直深受留学生的青睐,在中学阶段有意识地让学生参与这种创意设计,对提升学生时尚感,激发灵感和创新意识有很大的意义。

学生的文创设计都创意满满,文意十足,受到了专家极大的赞扬。

 

陈同学等的创意设计是“梦与前朝香氛乳”,香氛乳瓶子的设计灵感来源于展品“鸭形玻璃注”(瓶口设计),并融合了古罗马花神概念,这是中西两种文化碰撞出来的一次艺术创作。

陆同学等的文创设计是“塔幢晴雨伞”。“撑着油纸伞,独自彷徨在悠长悠长又寂寥的小巷。我希望逢着一个,丁香一样,结着愁怨的姑娘。”塔幢晴雨伞融合了学生对佛教、江南烟雨文化的理解,外形酷似真珠舍利宝幢,充满古典韵味,让人忍不住想撑着雨伞,走在铺着青石板的江南雨巷。

Part 2 :园林课题

苏州园林是世界文化遗产,通过亭台楼阁、泉石花木的组合,营造出“不出城廓而获山水之怡,身居闹市而得林泉之趣”的审美情趣,虽由人作,宛若天成,反映出古代文人士大夫对人居品质和精致、写意的文化的追求。如果现在有一个国际交流项目,让你向不了解中国的“歪果仁”推广介绍苏州园林,你会怎么做?是像世界三大男高音放歌紫禁城午门广场那样来一场艺术混搭,还是用高科技制作一款VR产品?抑或是邀请外国情侣在苏州园林内办一场中式婚礼?

 

新颖的课题形式吸引了很多学生的兴趣,让他们脑洞大开。对于高中国际课程部的学生来说,在扎实学习中英文课程的基础之上,拓展视野和格局,培养跨文化交际能力也很需要。不仅是苏州园林文化,中华文明源远流长,在跨文化交际中,你如何用创新的方式演绎这些文化,向外国人介绍这些文化呢?

苏州园林古典优雅,一如既往地安静,但此时无声胜有声,我们的学生和专家教授一起,展开了一场穿越古今、融合中西的“头脑风暴“。

 

苏州归来后,“走进苏州,遇见江南文化的前世今生”课题进入了另一阶段。行走,并不是回来了就结束了。西外的每一次行走课题都会持续很长时间,只为了让学生沉浸式地体验和学习,交出精良的作品。

文创课题的学生仍在继续完善自己的作品。这些学生成立了艺术设计社团,并且准备把自己在苏州的文创课题作为自己申请大学时的设计作品之一。学校层面也在和博物馆进行洽谈,希望在寒暑假可以为学生开展小型工作坊。我们不妨期待他们作品的最终问世。

 

Under the leadership of high school teacher Miss Liang and teachers of the course research group, the project has now entered a new stage. A field trip itself is only ever the beginning of an extended learning process. With their immersive experience fresh in their memories, students are now moving on to creating excellent works and achievements based on what they saw and learned in Suzhou. Students in the Cultural Content Creation section of the project, for example, have set up an art design club and are preparing to use their cultural and creative projects in Suzhou as part of their design portfolios when they apply to university in a few years’ time. Meanwhile, our school is also negotiating with the local museum to carry out small workshops for students during the winter and summer vacations. We are looking forward to the success of these and other projects, and eagerly await their results!
