乘风破浪，不说再见——高中国际课程部毕业季

又到了说再见的时候。恍然间，三年时光转瞬即逝。初见犹在昨天，分别即在眼前。
遇见本身就是一种只可意会的美好和微妙，离别也因为它有了一些甜味。六月，我们与毕业季狭路相逢。
高一的我们，初识阶段，中规中矩，相互试探；
高二的我们，了解对方，斗智斗勇，争强好胜；
高三的我们，熟知彼此，相爱相杀，荣辱与共。
这其中，不乏有许多的励志故事：为了熟知化学知识，有抄写150遍的元素周期表；为了规范课堂纪律，有为自己而画的三百头猪...总之，“老赖”与“无赖”之间的博弈，时常上演在图书馆6楼的各个角落。

我们这一届，是如此的与众不同：我们的人数是国际部有史以来最多的；我们有可爱的“醒醒班”，活泼的“静静班”，更有独树一帜的H班；我们第一次经历了云上课、云作业、云考试等一系列云上活动。
总而言之，2020的所有，我们都赶上了。但我们也都平稳度过。

所以，毕业典礼便是在学生们充满期待和不舍的心情中渐渐拉开序幕。早已手握各自梦校offer的毕业生们，和曾经的恩师们齐聚在一起，庆祝这个特别的日子。
每一张鲜活的笑脸，每一声温馨的叮咛，每一句美好的祝福，都将陪伴着他们走向世界各地，成为他们日后征途上的底气。

毕业典礼最不可缺少的环节，便是老师们的致辞。老师的叮嘱，犹在耳边。
2020年注定是一个不平凡的年，今天的全球形势具有不可捉摸的挑战性。西外这群即将走向世界各地的高三学生，面临的是更多的不确定性。但疫情终将过去。在滚滚时代潮流中，如何乘风破浪，值得大家深思。
“So what advice can I give to you – the first Xiwai class to graduate in such unusual circumstances?
Firstly, be calm. Things might seem troubling and unsettled now, but gradually, the situation will improve. The pandemic will pass, countries will open up again, and a new kind of “normal life” will emerge – as is already happening here in China. Other nations will eventually become more stable as well. The world is not going to be the same as it once was, but it’s not going to fall apart either. In the meantime, you should carry on with your plans. Be prudent, but don’t live in fear of what might happen. Be sensible, but don’t let too much caution keep you from taking advantage of great opportunities. Keep steady, because things have a way of sorting themselves out.

Secondly, be bold! Every challenge is also an opportunity, and this one is no different. You may be anxious about what it will be like to live and study in another country. You may be wondering: Will I fit in? Will I be rejected because of where I come from? Will I struggle and fail academically? But instead of dwelling on your fears, think of all your advantages. Your studies have shaped and prepared you more than you realize. You have grown up and succeeded in a bilingual, multicultural environment. Great teachers have exposed you to great ideas, great events, and great literature. At the same time, you are the citizens of a great nation with a magnificent heritage. People around the world want to learn from you and about you. So be proud of who you are, where you come from, and what you have accomplished. Go out in search of new experiences! Seize the opportunities that come your way! Engage with the rest of the world! You should have nothing but confidence as you begin the next chapter of your lives.
Finally, take the long view. History teaches us that periods of hardship and suffering are often the prelude to periods of happiness and prosperity. The Black Death spread desolation over much of the world – but it also paved the way for the Renaissance, one of the greatest flowerings of art, science, and culture the world has ever seen. Will we experience a new renaissance in our own lifetime? Will the plague that we have lived through soon give birth to a new age of innovation and progress? I believe it will – and you will be the ones to make it happen.”

冷静、大胆，放眼长远，是外教Enrico对孩子们的忠告。我们在怀念过去的同时，更应该放眼未来。机遇总是和挑战并存，对于高三学子来说，新的征程才刚刚开始。

快毕业了，我想说......
怀念三年在校园里走过的无数的路，像是回家的路，熟悉又温暖。
怀念在宿舍打打闹闹的我们，几个人用同样一把钥匙开同一扇门。
怀念在后操场篮球架下洒过的汗水，在阳光下熠熠生辉。
怀念在西外食堂吃的每一碗肉末面，那里面有离不开的滋味。
如今，我们用同样的目光，和空荡的宿舍说再见，和空荡的教室说再见。再说一句你好，再说一句再见。
不，我希望我们不说再见。因为学校的大门总是为每个你们敞开，等着你们回来！
