新学期，新起点 Welcome Back to Xiwai

Spring is officially here at Xiwai International School! Our new semester gotoff to a great start and the students were excited to share their vacation storieswith their friends, classmates and teachers alike. Our teachers talked to the students about the academic goals for this semester, and about some of thespecial extra curricular activities that are being planned to enhance thelearning environment.

万物舒展，草长莺飞。春天来了，西外开学了！我们的新学期从同学们眉眼弯弯地与朋友分享他们的度假故事开始， 师生笑语晏晏。我们的老师和学生一起在学期伊始，定下我们的学习目标， 设计一些特殊的课外活动，让校园生活的白昼更可爱，夜晚依然璀璨！

开学典礼

We had a great “Welcome Back” opening ceremony on our track field and our first flag raising of the new semester. The entire school participated and it was amazing to see so many students gathered in the same place.

在我们“初心与梦想”的开学典礼上， 我们喜迎新学期的第一次升旗，和第一次朝阳下肃穆的敬礼。很高兴看到整个学校再次聚到一起， 师生相映，生生相悦。

It is great to get back into the educational flow of things and begin the semesteroff with great new study habits. Some of the things we will focus on this semester,in addition to our strict academic subjects, are how to develop good moral characterand self respect, reading novels, and the mind set to achieve success in today’s world.

求真、树人、厚德。这是我们始终秉持的理念。再次回到日常的教学中，我们感受到巨大的幸福 。新学期，我们的教学还将重点关注以下方面：严格的学业教育， 善雅的品德和自尊心，中英文阅读，以及在当今世界如何取得成功的思维方式的培养。
